Community and Supportive Services Program Management Our first love was affordable housing and neighborhood redevelopment and we will always have a passion for changing America's communities for the good. We believe that neighborhood redevelopment can never be solely beautiful structures and adequate amenities but the core of revitalizing a community is revitalizing the people in those communities. Community and Supportive Services (CSS) Programs were the components of HOPE VI grants that made housing redevelopment unique. For the first time in low-income housing development, the self-sufficiency of the people was highlighted. CSS Programs, no matter what the name, will remain a central piece of HUD's redevelopment efforts in the process of revitalizing America's low and affordable housing stock. Pi Services Group is devoted to assisting agencies that are creating, managing, and sustaining pioneer programs that offer families the opportunity to move up and out of public assisted housing. While Pi Services Group is keenly aware that all residents in public assisted housing will not be able to take advantage of the many self-sufficiency opportunities, due to disabilities or age Pi Services Group works closely with agencies to provide additional quality of life services for those populations that are not considered work or school-bound. In the CSS Program Management Division, Pi Services offers: Full Case Management- Pi Services Group will staff well qualified case managers to assist your residents with meeting their individual and family goals. Pi Services will monitor the performance of residents and coordinate appropriate services with area service partners. CSS Workplans- New grantees (including Choice Neighborhood grants) are required to submit a Workplan within 90 days of the grant award date. Pi Services understands that this plan can be critical to your future success as a grantee and the approval of this plan is the only way that HUD will release funding beyond the relocation phase. Pi Services will work closely with your staff and residents to develop a workplan with quantifiable and obtainable goals. Relocation-If your agency does not have a relocation department, moving families can be a major task. Pi Services Group's staff is exceptionally learned regarding the Uniform Relocation Act (URA), this knowledge is invaluable when planning to move families. Quarterly and Annually Reporting Assistance- Pi Services is aware that many goals and outcomes are expected from your program; our staff is extremely knowledgeable regarding what can and should be counted when reporting quarterly and annual. Pi Services staff has developed an array of mechanisms that can aide CSS Program managers to capture, document, and report accurate quarterly success. Program Sustainability- After 2002 HOPE VI grantees (and now Choice Neighborhood grantees) were required by HUD to submit a sustainability plan. This plan must be in place if grantees plan on using funds for program endowment but the plan is still required by HUD even if HUD funds will not be used to provide services after the grant closeout. Like the CSS Workplans, Quarterly Reporting, and Annual Reporting, your program's sustainability is not only mandatory but preparation and implementation can be tedious. Let Pi Services Group do the heavy lifting and call on us to help with any or all of these critical needs. |
